PARIS, FRANCE / EuroWire / – The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile reported its strongest financial results in a decade, with FY2025 operating profit reaching €6.7 million. The result rose 43% from the previous year. It also marked a major shift from the €24 million operating loss recorded in 2021. The FIA said operating revenue reached €191.7 million, up 75% since FY2021.

The global motor sport governing body and mobility federation said the 2025 Annual Report and Accounts gained approval at its Extraordinary General Assemblies in Macau. The meetings took place during the FIA Conference. The Automobile General Association Macao-China hosted the event. Galaxy Entertainment Group supported it at the Galaxy International Convention Centre.

The FIA reported operating cash flow of €53.7 million for FY2025. Year-end cash more than doubled to €43.6 million. Cash and cash equivalents represented 73% of the balance sheet. The federation also reported a 49% equity ratio and no financial debt. These figures formed the core of its strongest operating result in 10 years.

    Financial position strengthens

The federation linked the FY2025 results to performance across major championships and commercial activity. It cited a new promoter process for the FIA World Rally Championship, with improved commercial terms. It also cited performance from the FIA World Endurance Championship. The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship promoter contract extension produced an exceptional gain of €20 million.

The FIA Commercial Department, created in 2023, added a Global Partner Programme during the reporting period. The programme includes DHL, Rolex, Hankook and AlphaTauri as global partners. Siemens and Tomorrow.io also joined as official partners. The federation said these commercial arrangements contributed to revenue growth across the organization.

    Investment continues across programmes

The FIA said it has reinvested more than €20 million since 2022 into key initiatives. These included a new Officials Department and the Safe Mobility 4 All and 4 Life programme. The federation also opened its first London office in 2025. Its permanent headcount reached 308 employees, a 14% rise from the prior year.

The federation said it continued work across motor sport, road safety, mobility and sustainability programmes in 2025. Its activities included FIA University research, leadership programmes, the FIA Road Safety Index and Smart Driving Challenge. The FIA also highlighted grassroots activity, including the first FIA Karting Arrive & Drive World Cup in Malaysia. More than 100 competitors from 50 countries attended that event.
